How to determine the installation length of threaded rubber joints

How to determine the installation length of threaded rubber joints
Threaded rubber joint consists of inner and outer rubber, cord fabric and steel wire ring, which is vulcanized and molded with metal flange or loose sleeve of parallel joint. It is a flexible part used for pipe joints. Due to its superior material performance and advanced production process, it is widely used in construction, water supply and drainage, fire fighting, plumbing, chemical industry, electric power and other fields.

Performance characteristics:

The main body of the product is made of rubber, using the high elasticity, high airtightness, weather resistance and radiation resistance of rubber to absorb lateral, axial and angular displacements caused by pipeline vibration; thus reducing pipeline vibration and noise, compensating for thermal expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes; meanwhile, it is not restricted by pipeline eccentricity and non-parallel flanges.
Rubber joints are made of raw materials and advanced foreign production technology is introduced. During the production process, the inner layer is under high pressure and the nylon curtain cloth is better combined with the rubber layer. It is characterized by mixed inner rubber layer, smooth and seamless, and the label adopts vulcanization process to combine with the product. Compared with ordinary bendable rubber joints, the working pressure is higher and the quality is better. As rubber is a bad conductive material, it is an ideal environmental product to reduce vibration and noise transmission. The inner wall of the product is designed to be smooth, which has been tested practically and has no effect on the flow and flux of the medium, does not rust, and is basically maintenance-free when operating effectively.
Selection of threaded rubber joints begins with an accurate understanding of the environment in which the rubber joints are used. By analyzing the environmental factors such as the use of temperature and medium, rubber joint products suitable for pipeline design requirements are selected.

1 . When installing and using the rubber joint, make the rubber joint in its natural state first, fasten the connecting flanges of both ends of the rubber joint with the matching flanges of the pipeline, and remember not to deform the product artificially; the screws of the fastening bolts should reach to the outside of the joint, and the bolts of each flange end face should be tightened repeatedly and evenly by diagonal pressurization to prevent pressure deviation and local leakage.
2 . The pipeline where the rubber joint is installed must be fixed or supported, and the support force bi must be greater than the axial force. For vertical installation and overhead installation, corresponding fixed brackets and force brackets should be installed at both ends of the product to prevent the workpiece from falling off after being pressurized. When the water is supplied at high level or suspended, the pipe should be fixed on the hanger, bracket or anchor, and the joint should not bear the weight and axial force of the pipe itself, otherwise the joint should be equipped with anti - tension device (its bearing capacity should be greater than the axial force of the pipe).
3 . When installing products above DN200MM, please use butterfly valve flange or small diameter flange to avoid falling off, leakage and seepage after installation.
4 . Keep away from heat source when installing.

When transporting, handling and installing rubber joints, it is strictly forbidden to scratch the surface sealing surface with sharp objects. Avoid high temperature, ozone oil and acid-alkaline environment when using or storing rubber joints. Outdoor or sunny pipeline should be set up with shade frame, and sun, rain and wind are strictly prohibited. It is strictly forbidden to paint or wrap insulation materials on the joint surface. As the rubber products are aging, they should be checked and replaced in time. After the rubber soft joint is pressurized for the first time (such as installation test pressure, etc.). Or before restarting after a long period of inactivity, the bolt should be re-pressurized and put into use.
