70th Anniversary of Victory of Chinese People s Resistance against Japanese Aggression

It is our first offical holiday for Commemoration of Victory of Anniversary of Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War, from 3rd September to 5th September.

President Xi Jinping made his address at the Commemoration of The 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist Warsaid on Thursday that the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is the first complete victory won by China in its resistance against foreign aggression in modern times. Chinese people will uphold the outcomes of the war,  pursue friendly relations with all other countries, and make greater contribution to mankind. He also announced that China will cut the number of its troops by 300,000.

48 China formations took part in the military parade in the commemoration. In addition, 17 foreign countries sent their formations and teams which including Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Pakistan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Fiji, Laos, Vanuatu and Venezuela.
