Common Types of Axial Bellows Compensator
Bellows compensator is also called bellows expansion joints and telescopic joint. It composes of bellows, end tubes, brackets, flanges, guide tube and other accessories. There are many types of axial bellows compensator.
1. Axial internal pressure bellows compensator
It consists of a corrugated bellow and two end tubes. End tubes can be welded directly to pipes or welded on flanges then connected to flanged pipes. Tie rods on bellow compensator is rigid support for transportation or as a pre-distortion adjustment of compensator.
2. Axial external pressure bellows compensator
It consists of one or more bellows connected by middle tubes, welded with internal plates at both ends first and then to external tubes. It has many bellows mainly used for axial displacement compensation, with a large compensation ability, good thermal insulation property and residual media drainable ability.
3. Axial complex bellows compensator
It consists of one or more bellows threaded together. Outer sleeve of bellows can protect the movements and keep its stability.
4. Axial complex tied bellows compensator
It consists of two or three sections of bellows, short middle tube, long tie rods which is not load-bearing compnent, and others.
5. Unlimited bellows compensator
Directional protection, on end is welded to main directional plate. This bellows compensator has strongly supporting and directing performance, while positioning plate prevent the bellows to be leveled.
