The method of installing rubber expansion joints in the pipeline

When installing rubber expansion joints in pipeline construction, let them be in a normal state and do not artificially deform the product during installation. This can avoid causing early damage to the product and weakening of the use effect. Flexible rubber expansion joints are prohibited from over-displacement during installation.

If you install the product design at the near end of the outlet of the pump or the corner part of the pipeline, as well as high pressure, high-rise buildings overhanging the use of the product, the pipeline has fixed support or fixed bracket, fixed support and fixed bracket force is greater than the axial force, otherwise the product should be installed to prevent pull-off limit device.

When installing the flange rubber soft joint, all the reinforcing rings at both ends of the sphere should be stuck into the flange groove to prevent the sphere and flange from pulling off when the pipeline is under pressure. When putting on the bolts, tighten the symmetrical bolts first to ensure that the spheres are all in place in the flange.

When the rubber joint is connected to the pipe flange, the bolt fillet should be extended to one end of the pipe flange to prevent the threads from squeezing or stabbing the arching part of the rubber joint when it is expanded under pressure, and the bolts at each end should be tightened symmetrically so that all the bolts are loosened and tightened in the same way.

When the rubber joint is used in close proximity to the pump outlet or under frequent opening and closing conditions, in order to reduce the length of the rubber joint stretching and compressing too much for the pump and pipeline, a limit device should be added at both ends of the flange.

When installing and using large diameter bendable rubber joints, to facilitate installation and reduce labor intensity, a short pipe of appropriate length should be made at one end of the flange, and after the rubber joint is connected with the short pipe and the other end of the pipe, the short pipe should be welded to the long pipe at the counterpart.

In order to facilitate the radial deviation caused by the short pipe welding deformation, the pipe flange at both ends should be temporarily welded with round steel or other metal objects of corresponding strength before welding, so that the rubber joint forms a rigid body at the connection with the flange, and after the welding of the short pipe is completed, the welding objects should be removed to make the rubber joint in a normal state after installation.

In the implementation of the temporary welding of metal joint and flange, remember to cover the rubber joint with a cover to avoid burning the rubber when welding.
