The difference between mono-flanges and double-flanges of expansion joints

Double-flange and single-flange limit expansion joints mainly have differences in connection methods. Double-flange loose-fitting limit expansion joints use two flat or convex flanges as connection parts and are connected to the pipeline through bolts, which is more convenient to install, and it is not recommended to use this pipeline fitting as the connection body when there is sufficient manpower. Single flanges loose set limit expansion joint uses one piece of convex flange or flat flange seat connection parts, also connected by bolts, in the case of site construction conditions allow, you can choose this limit expansion joint, but the site to use electric welding for installation, the use of customers can choose according to the site conditions and design units after communication. In the past pipeline construction, there are mainly drawbacks such as pipeline expansion joint production, installation difficulties, large floor space, serious running and bubbling water phenomenon, large amount of softened hot water loss and frequent maintenance.
 
Single flange expansion joint is composed of components such as loose sleeve expansion joint and limit short pipe. It can prevent the pipeline from leakage or damage of the compensation joint due to excessive displacement. It is mainly used for the loose set connection of pipeline that absorbs axial displacement and withstands pressure thrust within the allowable displacement range. The connection method of single flange expansion joint: one side is connected to the flange and the other side is welded to the pipeline. When installing, adjust the installation length of both ends of the product and the pipeline or flange, tighten the gland bolts diagonally and evenly, and then adjust the nuts so that the pipeline can expand freely within the expansion range and lock the expansion and normal operation of the pipeline.
 
When installing the expander, one end is linked to the gland bolt, and one end is screwed to the gland bolt that matches it (the nut wire with internal thread matches the gland bolt wire), it should be noted that the installation position of the flange must be parallel to the pipe expander, and a seal should be installed to increase its sealing.
